Pediatric Chiropractic

You value the health of your child! Of course you want to afford them the very best opportunity to be strong, allergy-free, smart, active, healthy kids. No one wants to see their child suffer from ear infections, hyperactivity, scoliosis, asthma, etc.

And no one wants to give their child harmful drugs and medications. So what's the alternative?

chiropractic care for children

A properly functioning nervous system knows no age limits! Everyone deserves the right to live at their fullest potential-especially our children!

Kids play hard, and childhood is a very physical time. The falls, accidents, heavy backpacks, hours on devices and computers, jumping and running....even the birth process itself can result in spinal misalignments causing nerve damage! Newborns may need adjustments, especially if they had assisted, difficult or traumatic births. Poor posture, uneven backpacks, bad sleeping positions, and constant texting by our older kids also contribute to a misaligned spine.

These misalignments in the 24 movable segments of the spine (termed subluxations) result in serious interference with the normal communication from the brain to the cells, organs and systems of our bodies. While some subluxations manifest in immediate symptoms, there may be more significant adverse reactions in the child's immune system if the subluxations are not properly corrected by chiropractic spinal adjustments.

Having your child's spine checked regularly by a Doctor of Chiropractic can prevent the ill effects of subluxations and allow the developing nervous system to grow properly. A gentle and simple spinal adjustment by a Chiropractor permits the nervous system to function with less stress and more effectiveness. That means a stronger immune system able to fight off infections quickly, proper regulation and healing of nerve supply to regulate breathing apparatus, proper drainage of fluids in the ears, normal reactions (as opposed to over reactions resulting in allergies) to "allergens," correct alignment of spinal bones for a straight spine without scoliotic changes, normal ability to concentrate and work in school, better sports performance, and so on, and so on, and so on!

Medications are not the answer

Orthodox medicine has no cure for most childhood ailments. There only offer is treatment to reduce symptoms. Many MD's ignore the cause of the problem and rush to this treatment. Drugs such as antihistamines, allergy shots, cortisone, amphetamine-like psychiatric drugs (such as Adderall, Dexedrine and Ritalin) and antibiotics have negative long-term consequences in our children. At best, these may give some temporary relief. But at what cost to the long-term health of the child?

strong healthy children are our goal

Children suffering from colic, colds, ear infections, allergies, ADD & ADHD should be checked for subluxations. The chiropractic approach to healthcare is natural. It does not attempt to stimulate or inhibit normal body function. As obstructions to the child's nervous system are removed, proper breathing is restored, fluids are drained, normal brain function returns and the body rights itself. Before consulting a physician for antibiotics, ADHD medications, ear tubes and other surgeries, why not relieve the subluxation that may be causing the problem?

the natural, least invasive procedures make sense

We all desire optimal health for our children. Of course we want to afford them the best chance to "Be all that they can be!" Providing them with the health care that optimizes their body's ability to properly take care of itself in the least invasive, most productive way makes good sense. Chiropractic adjustments restore normal function and nerve communication, reduce tense musculature, and encourage proper flow and drainage of the lymphatic and immune systems. This natural form of preventative maintenance against illness and disease results in a stronger, healthier child.
